So, it’s said follow your bliss. What is my bliss? I am author, artist, gardener, cook, and equestrian. Are they ALL my bliss? I invented a little test to identify bliss. Perhaps it may work for you… Plan your LAST day. What would you do? Where would you go? What would you eat? There in those actions on that Last Day lay your bliss!

4 cups Homemade or 1 carton of Low-Sodium Chicken Broth or Veggie Broth
1 Clove of Garlic minced
1 Tbsp fresh Ginger minced
2 portions of Soba Noodles
7 Mushrooms, sliced
A Handful of Raw or Cooked Shrimp
or Shredded Cooked Pork or Chicken
1 Tbsp. Sesame Oil
Salt & Pepper to Taste

Garnishes:
1 cup Shredded Lettuce (Any Kind)
1 Green Onion, chopped

Bring the stock to a boil add garlic, ginger, and Soba Noodles. Cook noodles according to package instructions. All vary depending on thickness. When the noodles are almost done, add everything else. Raw shrimp takes only a few minutes. Ladle into two large bowls and garnish with lettuce and green onions.

Hi, I'm Marianne Hines. Most call me ANNiE. The nick is short and sweet and not at all like me. I’m 5’11” and happiest when there's sand between my toes, when I'm dirty, windblown, and adorned with the debris of whatever project I'm working on. I build, design, and create in many forms. I’ve spent most of my life in the Northwest. Twelve years ago I came to the southeast for love, that love is now my husband. I love London and Paris for the art, food, and architecture. I love Spring and Fall, mountains, untouched snow, the smell of a horse’s mane, the sound of paper dry leaves under foot, birds singing, reef snorkeling, flea market hunting, and cooking for friends who love to eat, to be loud, and to laugh.
